Medical Association Guidelines
Ahmedabad Medical Association has announced this guideline in which doctors will serve in 26 private hospitals during Navratri. Along with this, according to Navratri Medical Guideline 2023, if you have problems with blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, you have been told to be careful. Also those who have such disease should avoid playing garba for a long time. It is advised to play garba as per doctor's advice along with taking regular medicine.

If there is a history of diabetes, blood pressure or heart problems in the family of people over 40 who do not exercise regularly, get a heart checkup before Navratri.

- If there is a family history of diabetes, blood pressure or heart problems, get a heart checkup done before Navratri.
- While playing garba, if you feel dizziness, chest pain, headache, vomiting, panic with sweating, panting, shortness of breath, stop playing garba and sit quietly.
- Athletes should drink at least 3 liters of water during the day.
- Drink lemonade or juice frequently while playing garba.
- Consume foods rich in potassium and magnesium like bananas, coconut water.
- Do not play garba after a full meal.
- Keeping doctor on duty with first aid facility at Garba place.
- If there is any illness, then inform the nearby people immediately so that in case of health problem, immediate help is available.
- Formal tie-up with the hospital near the venue so that the hospital can be informed in case of any incident.

Along with this, during Navratri, along with taking regular medicine, Garba is said to be played as per the doctor's advice. Players are advised to get echo and TMT report before garba. It is also said to celebrate Navratri as per the above guidelines.
