Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken an important decision to ensure that the poor and needy get food grains and no one in the country goes hungry. The Prime Minister has announced to extend the PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana for another 5 months. This decision of the government will benefit 80 crore poor people of the country




⧭ Now 1 kg of chickpeas will also be available for free.

The Prime Minister said that the Modi government will provide 5 kg of wheat or 5 kg of rice for free every month. In addition, from now on, 1 kg of chickpeas per month will be given to each family free of cost





⧭ The government will spend an additional Rs 90,000 crore

In his national address, PM Modi said that the PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana [Mafat Anaj Vitran Yojana] would be extended for another five months at an additional cost of Rs 90,000 crore. If you add up the amount spent in the last three months, the amount is around Rs 1.5 lakh crore.
