 The number of corona infections in the country is increasing rapidly and the recovery rate of patients is also increasing. So far 40.32% of the patients have recovered. This is stated in a statement issued by the Union Ministry of Health. In which it is stated that so far 45 thousand 299 patients have been cured in the country. The ministry also said that 26 lakh 15 Hadar 920 samples have been tested in the country till May 21. Out of which 1 lakh 3 thousand 32 investigations have been done in the last 24 hours

The number of infected reached 1,12,682
The number of infected people has reached 1,13,321 across the country. And with 3,456 people have lost their lives due to corona. On the other hand, 45,900 patients have recovered after treatment. Maharashtra has the highest number of 39,297 cases in the country. Here, 10,318 people have recovered after treatment and 1,390 people have died. The number of infected people in Tamil Nadu, which is second, has crossed 13,000. Just 3 days ago this number had crossed one lakh.

Updates of the day

  • On Thursday, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot tweeted that the recovery rate of patients in Rajasthan is 57 per cent which is the highest among all the states which is a matter of satisfaction. This has been made possible by the hard work of our doctors, health workers and patients. So far 3422 have been recovered in Rajasthan. Also 3041 have been discharged from the hospital.
  • The state government is now emphasizing on quarantine to prevent transition in Maharashtra. There has been a 58 per cent increase in home quarantine cases in the state in the last 9 days. As of May 10, there were 2,44,327 people in the home quarantine and 14,465 in the institute quarantine across the state. A total of 4 lakh people are now quarantined across the state.
  • The guideline of Lockdown-4 emphasizes on initiating economic activities. Since then, tea gardens in Assam have started functioning. In Dibrugarh, laborers have reached out to gardens to weave tea leaves from plants. However, all the employees have been directed to abide by the guidelines of the Home Ministry.
  • The remains of the deceased who were cremated at Bhadbhada Vishram Ghat amid lockdown in Bhopal are still kept in the locker of the cremation ghat. Crematorium operator L Singh says about 200 people were buried here during the lockdown.
  • The railways have run 1813 labor special trains since May 1. As a result, 22 lakh workers have reached their homes. The highest number of 912 trains was rushed to Uttar Pradesh, while 398 trains were diverted to Bihar.
  • Two planes carrying Indians stranded abroad arrived at Visakhapatnam International Airport on Wednesday. Earlier on Tuesday, a plane carrying 166 passengers from Manila (Palestine) and 148 passengers from Abu Dhabi arrived.
