  • Men aged 31 to 40 should have a systolic blood pressure of 120 mm Hg and a diastolic blood pressure of 70 mm Hg. Apart from this, systolic blood pressure of 124 mm Hg and diastolic blood pressure of 77 mm Hg in men aged 41 to 50 years can be considered good.
  • A BP level of 125 mm Hg systolic blood pressure and 77 mm Hg diastolic blood pressure can be considered normal for men aged 51 to 60 years. A blood pressure of 133/69 mm Hg is considered normal for men aged 60 to 65 years. Having more or less than this is harmful for the body.
  • As for women, their blood pressure is slightly different as compared to men. A systolic blood pressure of 110 mm Hg and a diastolic blood pressure of 68 mm Hg can be considered ideal for women aged 21 to 30 years. This is considered a normal level.
  • Women aged 31 to 40 should have a systolic blood pressure of 110 mm Hg and a diastolic blood pressure of 70 mm Hg. Apart from this, systolic blood pressure of 122 mm Hg and diastolic blood pressure of 74 mm Hg can be considered good for women aged 41 to 50 years.
  • A systolic blood pressure of 122 mm Hg and a diastolic blood pressure of 74 mm Hg are considered normal blood pressure levels for women aged 51 to 60 years. A blood pressure of 133/69 mm Hg is considered normal for women aged 61 to 65. Having more or less than this is harmful for the body.

Measures to keep blood pressure under control

  • You can keep your blood pressure level normal with the following measures.
  • To keep blood pressure under control you should keep your weight under control.
  • Stay away from unnecessary stress, tension as far as possible.
  • Eat a proper nutritious diet.
  • Use methu (salt) of food in proportion.
  • Smoking and alcohol should not be consumed.
  • Blood pressure disease has become a common disease nowadays. If your blood pressure is more or less than the blood pressure chart given above, i.e. high blood pressure or low blood pressure, then the doctor's advice should be taken.
