  • There are many buttons in the elevator. But one should not press unnecessary buttons together in haste.
  • In such a situation, press the alarm button of the elevator so that someone can help you.
  • Emergency contact numbers are written on the lift.
  • Report the situation from the phone in the elevator or from your mobile.
  • Do not attempt to force the door open yourself as this may cause injury.







What to watch out for while using the lift?

If you are using the lift regularly or daily then the following points should be kept in mind.

  • The lift should not be overloaded with weight. Lifts also have a limit to the weight they can carry. Special care should be taken not to add more weight to it.
  • It should be specially checked whether the lift door closes properly or not. Even if the elevator door does not close properly, the elevator can get stuck.
  • Take special care that your children do not play with the lift buttons and do not open and close the door unnecessarily.

Do not attempt to open or close the lift with hands or feet.

  • Do not use the lift in case of earthquake or fire.
  • M Button on Lift: Indicates Mezzanine or Mezzanine if the M button is installed in the lift. Pressing the M button will take you to the mezzanine floor.

A mezzanine is a floor, lower than the ground, but not a basement. You can see such buttons in Delhi Metro station lifts.
