How a Sugar Free Diet WorksThis diet does not cause sudden changes in blood sugar. This improves the metabolic rate and makes the stomach feel full. Protein in your body produces energy. What to include in a sugar free diet?

સંતરામાં વિટામીન C અધિક માત્રામાં હોય છે. તેના સેવનથી ઈમ્યુન સિસ્ટમ વધારે મજબૂત થાય છે. સંતરામાં કેટલાંક જરૂરી પોષક તત્વો હોય છે. જેવાં કે વિટામીન ઈ, એ, કેલ્શિયમ, મેગ્નેશિયમ, પોટેશિયમ અને ફોસ્ફરસ વગેરે પોષક તત્વો મળી રહે છે, જે સ્વાસ્થ્ય માટે ફાયદાકારક હોય છે. જોકે, ડાયાબિટીસ માટે સંતરાને ઉત્તમ નથી માનવામાં આવતું. આ ફળમાં પણ ગ્લાઈસેમિક ઇન્ડેક્ષ વધારે હોય છે. આ સાથે જ 100 ગ્રામ સંતરાના જ્યુસમાં 10 ગ્રામ ખાંડ હોય છે. એટલા માટે સંતરાનું સેવન બિલકુલ ન કરવું જોઈએ.
દાડમ
ડાયાબિટીસના દર્દીઓએ ક્યારેય દાડમ ખાવાનો ઇનકાર ના કરવો જોઈએ. કારણ કે દાડમ પણ તમારા સ્વાસ્થ્ય માટે વરદાન રૂપ છે, પરંતુ શુગરના દર્દીઓ માટે આ અભિશાપ પણ સાબિત થાય છે. કારણ કે દાડમમાં ખાંડનું પ્રમાણ વધારે હોય છે. આથી તેના સેવનથી શુગર પણ વધી શકે છે અને સાથે ગ્લાઈસેમિક ઇન્ડેક્સ પણ વધારે રહે છે. 100 ગ્રામ દાડમના જ્યુસમાં 14 ગ્રામ ખાંડ હોય છે. એટલા માટે જ શુગરના દર્દીઓએ દાડમનું સેવન ના કરવું જોઈએ. તદુપરાંત દ્રાક્ષ, કિશમિશ, નાશપતી વગેરે ચીજવસ્તુનું પણ સેવન કરતા પહેલા સાવધ રહેવું જોઈએ. તો બીજી બાજુ ખજૂરનું પણ સીમિત માત્રામાં સેવન કરવું જોઈએ
