A reference letter from COBSE on the above subject states that the National Level Talent Search Examination Student Science Manthan (W) will be organized by a joint venture of Science Dissemination Institute, Department of Science and Technology, NCERT Education Department and Vigyan Bharti, Government of India. VM is India's largest science talent search. v provides a platform for generating interest in science, developing imagination as well as adhering to students' excellence. This competition is for students of Std-6 to 11.
Student Science Manthan 2021-22 is a digital application based. Which will be taken online. For this, students have to register online. Registration can be done from 07/08/2021 to 31/10/2021, most will start from 1/11/2021. The said examination can be given on 30th November 2021 or 5th December 2021 (login one day). Registered students will have to take the exam from their mobile phone, tablet, laptop or school desktop computer. The purpose of the above examination is to inculcate scientific and analytical thinking in the students.

online open-book Science Talent Search examination I am writing to bring to your kind notice that Vigyan Prasar, an autonomous organization under the Dept of Science & Technology, Govt of India, In association with the National Council of Educational Research & Training (NCERT) , Ministry of HRD and Vijnana Bharati (a non-profit organization led by eminent scientist) are successfully conducting a national level talent search examination named Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) over the last five years. It is India's largest Science Talent Search for New India. It conducted the exam through online open-book system due to Covid-19 pandemic during the year 2020-21. This year again, the exam will be conducted online through open-book to be carried out using digital devices.
Dr. Arvind C. Ranade, Scientist F, Vigyan Prasar, has requested COBSE to, in turn, request all State Boards to participate in the VVM over the upcoming academic year 2021-22. A copy of the letter received from Vigyan Prasar along with a brochure giving objectives of Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) as well as detailed procedures for candidates and conduct of online examination is enclosed herewith for kind perusal.

It is pertinent to mention here that Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan is a unique digital application based talent search examination that is conducted online at the national level. The registered students will be allowed to take the exam from his / her school or a specified center through his / her own device, namely, a smart phone (mobile), laptop, desktop (school lab) or tablet. Exam will not be conducted on any of the Apple Devices. The school level examination can be answered on any one of the specified dates (elther on a working or a non-working day) as opted by the School Exam Coordinator '.
