Wi-Fi calling enables users to make regular calls using Wi-Fi networks or in areas with poor connectivity. This service only works if your telecom operator supports Wi-Fi calling and the customer has a strong Wi-Fi connection. When network connectivity is low, the compatible phone will make regular calls through a telecom operator using a Wi-Fi network, which is also subscribed. Maximum telecom operators in India offer Wi-Fi calling support including Airtel, Reliance Jio and Vodafone Idea. Telecom operators do not charge any more for this service.

What is Wi-Fi Calling?
The new Wi-Fi calling service is especially beneficial in areas with low network connectivity. If Wi-Fi calling is enabled on the smartphone, this will use a connected Wi-Fi network to make regular voice calls. For example, if you are in the basement of a building and you have low network connectivity, but strong Wi-Fi, you will still be able to make voice calls. The service seeks to improve call quality and reduce call drops. Wi-Fi calling service calls over VOIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) instead of VoLTE network.

How to enable Wi-Fi calling on Android smartphones?
Most recently launched phones are compatible with Wi-Fi calling. You can find the option by going to the network settings on your phone. You will not be able to make Wi-Fi calls without this option. If yes, then enable it by following these steps.
iPhone
Go to the settings menu of your Android smartphone. Go to the Network section.
In the Network section, go to Wi-Fi Differentiation, and then click Advanced.
Check the option called Wi-Fi calling. If you have two SIM cards installed in your phone, users can decide which number to enable. Customers can also enable it for both numbers.
In some phones the Wi-Fi calling option is offered directly in the network section, no need to go in advance.
How to enable Wi-Fi calling on iPhone?
In iPhone go to settings menu. Click on the phone.
Click Mobile Data> Wi-Fi Calling (this will only appear when your telecom operator supports the service)
Toggle on “Wi-Fi calling on this iPhone”. If Wi-Fi co-ling is available, you’ll see Wi-Fi after your carrier’s name in the status bar. Will use Wi-Fi calling after your calls
