Gandhinagar: The Union Home Ministry has issued a circular regarding the celebrations of August 15 at the state, district, and lower levels of the country. A large number of people have been instructed not to gather at the celebration. Can be celebrated using technology. Republic Day, Independence Day, and Gujarat Sthapna Divas have been integrated under this scheme.
Under this program, the national festival is celebrated in any one district of the state. From the year 2008-09, anyone taluka of the remaining 25 districts are allotted Rs. 25.00 lakhs by the state Govt. for developmental works of the taluka for taluka level celebration of a national festival.
