पानी उबालने पर टॉक्साव वायरस तुरंत खत्म हो जाता है। यह भी निर्धारित किया गया है कि कोक्लीयर वायरस क्लोरीनयुक्त या डाइक्लोरिनेटेड समुद्री जल में गुणा नहीं करते हैं। कोरोना संक्रमण का प्रभाव सीधे इसके अस्तित्व और पानी के तापमान से संबंधित है। क्लोरीनयुक्त पानी भी कोरोना वायरस के उन्मूलन में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान देता है।
