Union Education Minister's announcement: JEE exams from February 23, exams will be taken four times a year
● Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishke has announced the JEE Main 2021 exam. The Minister of Education announced on Wednesday that the first session of JEE Main Examination 2021 will be held from 23rd February to 26th February 2021. This time JEE Main will be held four times in the year 2021. After February, the second session will be in March, the third in April and the fourth in it. This decision has been taken so that the board examinations of different states, which are held at different times, do not hinder the conduct of the JE main examination. Previously this engineering entrance exam has been taken twice a year.
● The JEE Main Exam will now be conducted in English, Hindi, Gujarati, Bengali, Assamese, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Oriya, Tamil, Urdu, Telugu, Punjabi in a total of 13 languages. So far JEE exam has been taken in English, Hindi, Gujarati.
● Merit list based on students' best NTA scores out of four opportunities in 2021 The ranking will be created. This time UPSE (2021) will not be held. In such a situation, Dr. PJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (ACTU) will enroll students in 1.40 lakh seats of 750 colleges in Lucknow state on the basis of JEE Main 2021 score. Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank fitted a video message around 11 a.m. on Wednesday, saying, "I have been in constant touch with the students for the last few days. We sent instructions to the NTA for a positive test from them. The NTAA has brought the idea of flying into them. When you join me today at 6pm, I will let you know what the NTA decides about the exam and how often.
● Earlier on Tuesday, the National Testing Agency (NTA), the body conducting the exam, said the date and notice of the JEE Main would be released soon.
● Notably, on December 10, Nishank answered questions from students, teachers and parents through the upcoming board exam issues and competitive exam webinars such as JEE Main and NEET. He said about the JEE Main 2021 and NEET 2021 exams that there is a flying discussion going on to reduce the syllabus of these two competitive exams. Nishank said the JEE Main exam is still held twice a year. Government on the suggestion to do it three to four times Is considering. Nishank said students need not worry about CBSE 10th and 12th exam dates.
