INTRODUCTION
Teacher - One of the main functions of the Council is to enhance the quality of the National Teacher - a variety of specialized and comprehensive activities covering almost all aspects of training. In this regard, a curriculum development and innovation program has been launched and as part of this program, Rashi Prap has developed a competency-based, committed teacher-training curriculum for school education focusing on teacher-training quality and efficiency. The current approach has been developed on the basis of the experiences that have resulted from the implementation of the recommendations of the Ravindra Dave Committee report and almost everywhere the current approach has been developed on the basis of these experiences and almost everywhere these experiences have been encouraging to teachers. In order to ensure consistent results and to make them particularly meaningful in the context of quality schooling through teacher-training, a similar approach must be adopted in elementary teacher-training institutions.
In conclusion, this booklet sheds light on the basics of the approach and defines the areas of call, commitment and operation. As a result, it is hoped that quality teacher training can be imparted in training institutes. The purpose of publishing this booklet is to discuss this topic, learn new ideas and implement new strategies.
The council is also considering releasing two more booklets on the subject, pre-service as well as in-service education. The ideas presented in this booklet emerge from the national level consultations organized by the National Teacher-Training Council. Discussions on this in some seminars, meetings and workshops have received the generous guidance of Prof. Dave. Since the concept of this project was formulated and also in finalizing this booklet.
