While states like Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh have decided to keep schools closed, Karnataka Government has allowed schools to reopen but not permitted students to visit their schools.

Moreover, the Unlock 4.0 guidelines also suggest that schools can be opened after September 21, 2020 for teachers and non-teaching staff for special circumstances. However, regular classes will not begin now until September 30, 2020. The schools would be allowed to reopen with 50 percent of teaching and non-teaching staff. All students and parents are also advised to reach out to the respective schools to understand the schedule, procss and guidelins that have to be followed.

A total of nine passengers who had travelled on board a Mumbai-Goa train have been tested positive for coronavirus through TrueNat testing so far, according to ANI. The esrtwhile green zone Goa now has a total of 31 confirmed cases, including seven recoveries and no deaths.
