Huawei has launched the Nova 5i Pro in China. The smartphone packs four rear cameras and is powered by the new 7nm-based Kirin 810 chipset. Additionally, the mid-range Nova 5i Pro also brings a punch-hole display and up to 256GB of internal storage. The Huawei Nova 5i Pro is said to launch in international markets as the Mate 30 Lite.
The Nova 5i Pro price in China starts at CNY 2,199 (approx Rs 22,000) for the base model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The smartphone also comes in 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB storage options that are priced at CNY 2,499 (approx Rs 25,000) and CNY 2,799 (approx Rs 28,000), respectively. The Nova 5i Pro will go on sale in China in a flash sale on August 2 in Black, Green and Blue colour options.

The Nova 5i Pro sports a 6.26-inch FHD+ (2340x1080) IPS LCD display with a hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera on the top left corner. The display is surrounded by thin bezels, especially on the top and sides. As mentioned, the glass-like rear panel comes in three colours - Black, Green and gradient Blue. The Nova 5i Pro also features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Kirin 810 chipset that is based on a 7nm process and is equipped with a dedicated neural processing unit (NPU) for AI and machine learning capabilities. The chipset is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and the phone comes with up to 256GB of onboard storage. The Huawei Nova 5i Pro also supports GPU Turbo for an enhanced gaming experience.
A major highlight of the Huawei Nova 5i Pro is its quad camera setup on the back. The four camera setup in a square-shaped module includes a 48MP Sony IMX586 main camera, 8MP ultra wide-angle sensor, 2MP Super Macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor. Up front, the Nova 5i Pro gets a 32MP selfie camera housed within the hole-punch cutout.
The Huawei Nova 5i Pro houses a 4,000mAh battery and supports 20W fast charging that promises to charge the device up to 50 per cent in just 30 minutes. The Nova 5i Pro also comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack and a Type-C port. Huawei is likely to announce the Nova 5i Pro globally as the Mate 30 Lite. The Mate 30 series is expected to be announced later this year and are expected to come to India as well.
